Biography
Mary Copenhagen, Bonstelle Theatre Costume Designer, received her BS and MFA degrees from Michigan State University and studied in London , in the costume college at the Victoria and Albert Museum . Copenhagen’s regional theatre designs include The Hot L Baltimore, Julie Johnson and Book of Days at the Purple Rose Theatre; Tony ‘n Tina’s Wedding, Sylvia and Flanagan’s Wake at Detroit Actor’s Guild; Zora Neale Hurston, Joe Turner’s Come and Gone, A Soldier’s Play and Ain’t Misbehavin’ at Plowshares Theatre; and The Immigrant, Dear Esther, The Diary of Anne Frank, Twilight of the Golds and The Day We Met at the Jewish Ensemble Theatre. She is also a regular designer for the Classic Theatre Program of the University of Detroit which performs throughout each summer.
